Malaria Consortium
Malaria Consortium is a global health nonprofit dedicated to improving lives and communities affected by malaria and related health inequities, especially in Africa and Asia. Founded in 2003, it combines evidence-based research with practical on-the-ground programs. Malaria Consortium also supports malaria prevention through innovative methods such as seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC), community health worker training, and vector control.
Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention
Malaria Consortium is the world’s leading implementer of SMC, a type of antimalarial medicine, and reached over 24M children in 2022.
Mortality Reduction
Their interventions have significantly reduced malaria-related child mortality by approximately 60-79% in areas where SMC is delivered, directly saving thousands of young lives annually
Coverage Rates
The organization has a strong track record of program efficiency, continuously lowering costs per child reached through strategic programmatic improvements, achieving coverage rates of up to 87% in supported districts
